Don’t miss this Historic Water Experience as we cruise

the shoreline of our 180-year-old lake with all its tales

  and legends.

The Buckeye Lake Historical Society and Museum is proud to announce that the Queen of the Lake III restoration project is finished, and the 88 foot sternwheeler will be cruising the shores of Buckeye Lake for the 2021 season. It will begin its season May 1 and run through October 30.
The 5 year project has had hundreds of hours of restoration and over 50 volunteers have turned the river boat into a 55 plus passenger tour boat.
The boat donated by Dr. Ronald and Cindy Downing of Malta in June of 2015 was hauled up from the Muskingham River then drydocked at the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club for 4 years while began its restoration. It was moved this past summer to Buckeye Lake Marina for its completion.

Step back in time on a guided, historic tour around the shores of the 187 year old
Buckeye Lake. Its unique history includes its legacy as the first State Park in
Ohio 1847, the home of The Buckeye Lake Amusement Park and all the glory it
created, as well as playing an important role in the Ohio Canals.
As the only Sternwheeler on any inland lake in Ohio, the Queen of the Lake III
can accommodate up to 40 people on public and private tours and events. She has an on-board restroom and catering is available.
This was a 5 year restoration project completed by volunteers working with the
Buckeye Lake Historical Society. All ticket sales are tax deductible.
