CALENDAR 2012 This Historical Marker is located at the entrance to the Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society Museum. The plaque explains the geological history of Buckeye Lake and Cranberry Bog. Calendar 2012 January Membership Drive 2012  February Museum closed for the month to visitors Office open Tuesdays: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm  Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society Museum March 01 - Museum re-opens 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Tues - Sun Volunteer Sign-Up Month New Exhibits April 20 - Bog Guide Training 7:00 pm Museum 22 - Queen of the Lake Crew training 7:00 pm Museum 28 - All volunteers training 7:00 pm Museum May 01 - Queen of the Lake Public tours begin One hour guided tours on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 pm Open to the public 26 - Saturday Buckeye Lake Memorial Parade 11:00 am Parade gathers at The Buckeye Lake State Park North Shore Winners announced for parade Little Miss Buckeye Lake Contest, Free Refreshments at State Park following the Parade  Historical Society Membership Dinner - Yacht Club 2011 June 16 - Saturday Open Cranberry Bog Day Buckeye Lake State Park North Shore Walk-ins Welcome Queen tours all day, Museum tent with gift shop Food and the Rocketship will be there!!!! 20 - Membership Dinner (location to be announced) Social Hour @ 6:00 pm & Dinner @ 7:00 $15 per person for dinner & entertainment July 04 – Friday Special Holiday Lake Tours 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Fireworks on Buckeye Lake 9:00 pm August 14 - Saturday Bikes, Boats & Vehicle Poker Run Registration 10:00 am @ Port Lounge, Thornville, Ohio Bog tours over for the Season September 30 - Queen of the Lake Tours over for the Season Museum open Tuesday - Sunday 1:00 - 4:00 pm Closed Mondays and the Month of February The Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society Board meets every First Monday of the month @ 4:00pm at the Buckeye Lake Museum. It is open to the Public.
