BOG TOUR
cranberry bog

The Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society and Museum offers tours throughout the season of May through October for groups and individuals wishing to see this wonderful bog for a suggested donation. Call the museum at 740-929-1998 for more information.

$12 Per Person, Children 5 or under Free


The Ohio Department of Natural Areas and Preserves will hold their annual tour of Historic Cranberry Bog on Saturday June 20, 2009 at the Buckeye Lake North Shore Boat Launch and Park. The state park is located on St Rt 79 in the Village of Buckeye Lake.

If you wish to participate in this event you must contact the ODNR/Natural Areas and Preserves
pitcher plant
to have your name placed in the lottery system. The lottery has only 400 spaces available for the day. No walk-ins will be honored on that day.

The tours begin at 9:00 am and run until 4:00 pm with a boat leaving every 10 minutes. The Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society provides the boat transportation for this event. A suggested donation of $5.00 per person is requested to cover the cost of the boats, volunteers and gas.
