The Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society and Museum offers tours throughout the season of May through September for groups and individuals wishing to see this wonderful bog for a suggested donation. Call the museum at 740-929-1998 for more information.

The Historical Society will host the OPEN CRANBERRY BOG DAY on Saturday
June 15, 2013 at the Buckeye Lake North Shore Boat Launch and State Park.
The State park is located on St Rt 79 in the Village of Buckeye Lake.

The tours begin at 9:00 am and run until 4:00 pm with the boat leaving every
½ hour. The transportation is provided by the Buckeye Lake Museum aboard the
Queen of the Lake. Suggested donation for each passenger is $5. This money
goes toward the preservation programs for the Ancient Cranberry Bog and its
The Island is protected and visitors must have an access permit to visit.
